Generic Claritin: Get Rid Of Allergies Easily

An allergy is an undesirable reaction of the immune system of the body to a specific food, substance or chemical. Allergies are common and affect more than one in four people at least once during their lifetime. Substances that cause allergies are allergens which commonly include grass and tree pollen, dust mites, animal dander (tiny flakes of skin or hair), insect bites and stings, food and medications etc. Allergies happen rapidly within a short time of allergen exposure. Symptoms include sneezing, runny or blocked nose, red, itchy, watery eyes, wheezing and coughing, a red, itchy rash, worsening of asthma or itching symptoms. Even though loratadine is a non-drowsy antihistamine, but some people still tell that it induces sleep. Headaches, nervousness and fatigue are common if given to Children. Simultaneous consumption of alcohol is not advisable when on Claritin therapy as it depresses the nervous system extensively.

Male Impotence or Erectile Dysfunction

An inability in getting and sustaining an erection during a sexual intercourse is called erectile dysfunction (ED), also known as male impotence. ED is a relatively common disorder in older men and is estimated in half of all men aged 40-70 years. You should see a doctor if ED persists for more than few weeks. Doctor evaluates general state of health of an individual as ED can be an important symptoms of more serious health diseases like diabetes and heart disorders. ED can be sue to number of causes which can range from physical to psychological. Physical causes includenarrowing of the blood vessels that supply blood to the penis and is commonly related to high blood pressure (hypertension), elevated cholesterol or diabetes (elevated glucose levels in the blood); hormonal imbalance; surgery or injury. Psychological causes are anxiety, depression and relationship issues.

OccasionallyED is bound to happen only under certain circumstances where the underlying cause is likely to be psychological (stress induced ED). If erection does not occur under any situation, the underlying cause might be physical. ED can also occur as a side-effect of some medicines. Your doctor will diagnose ED by recording your medical and family history, physical examination and by performing certain simple tests ED is mainly treated by treating underlying cause of the problem, whether physical or psychological. Narrowing of the arteries (called atherosclerosis, a common heart condition) is one of the most common cause.

In this case doctor may suggest lifestyle changes like weight loss and maintaining a healthy weight which is known to considerably reduce risk of heart disease. This helps to improve the symptoms with enhancement in your overall general health.Eating a healthy and balanced diet with regular exercise not only maintains a normal weight and reduce the risk for heart attack and stroke, but also improves ED. Also, these lifestyle changes and natural remedies increase the effectiveness of the conventional treatment in severe ED.

Some lifestyle modifications are Aerobic Exercise and relaxation techniques, Eating Healthy and quitting Tobacco and Alcohol, using natural and herbal supplements which is a part of alternative and traditional medicine and getting sound sleep. Several medical treatments are successful in the treatment of ED. Medications like sildenafil generic (Viagra), Tadalis, Zenegra, Silagra etc are most commonly used and have worked for almost two-thirds of all the cases. Vacuum pumps that enhance blood flow to the penis leading to an erection are also successful in 90% of cases. Psychological treatments include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and sex therapy.

How sexual health clinics can help patients with ED?

These clinics solve problems associated with the genitals and can provide a similar treatment plan which a general physician would follow. Many of them offer a walk-in service an appointment is not needed. Tests are done and the results quicker than your physician practice.

Paget's disease in women - Causes & treatment

Paget's disease of bone, simply referred to as Paget’s disease is a medical condition that interferes with the normal cycle of bone renewal resulting in weak and possibly deformed bones. Particularly prevalent in older females, it is a common condition in the UK and is rare in people aged less than 50 years. Many treatments can keep this disorder under control for a long period of time; however, this can result in constant pain and numerous other problems in many women. This disease can affect single or multiple bones. Commonly affected bones are pelvis, spine and skull. Common symptoms of Paget's disease of bone includes constant and dull pain in bones, joint pain, stiffness with swelling, a sharp pain across the body, numbness and tingling, or loss of movement in a part of the body. In many cases, no symptoms are present and the condition is diagnosed during tests carried out for another reason. One should immediately see a doctor ifpersistent bone or joint pain, deformities in any of your bones, symptoms of a nerve problem like numbness, tingling or loss of movement are observed.

Causes of Paget's disease

To fully understand the underlying cause of the disease, it is important to know what is bone resorption and remodeling. Cells in your bone regenerate in a similar manner as skin. Old bone is eliminated; this is called resorption and replaced by a new bone; this process is bone remodelling.

Two types of bone cells are responsible for this:

• Cells that absorb old bone (called osteoclasts)

• Cells that form new bone (called osteoblasts)

In Paget's disease of bone, bone resorption is done at a rate which is much faster than normal rate of bone resorption by the osteoclast cells. The osteoblasts then increase the rate of bone remodelling; thus, resulting in a bone which is much larger and weaker than normal. Main or primary trigger for this process is not yet known; however, risk is high if there is a family history of Paget's disease of bone as some genetic mutation or fault can be inherited which makes a person more prone to develop the condition.

Treatments for Paget's disease of bone

• There is no permanent cure for the disease but drugs and medications are available for symptomatic treatment and efficient disease management. The main treatments are:

• Bisphosphonate medications: These are medicines that control bone regeneration. E.g. Alendronate sodium ( Fosamax Generic )

• Painkillers:These are available OTC. E.g. Paracetamol and Ibuprofen

• Supportive management: these include physiotherapy, occupational therapy and use of devices like walking sticks or shoe inserts

• Surgery: This may be needed if other treatment options fail and problems like fractures, deformities or severe joint damage occurs.

• Calcium and vitamin D may help.

Further Complications

These include:

• Fragile bones that break more easily

• Enlarged or deformed bones

• Permanent hearing loss (in case skull is affected)

• High blood calcium levels

• Heart problems

• bone cancer although this is rare

Other types of Paget's disease

• Paget's disease of the breast or nipple: A rare type of breast cancer

• Paget's disease of the penis:A rare type of penile cancer

• Paget's disease of the vulva: A rare type of vulval cancer

Suhagra for Male Impotency Problems

Erectile dysfunction or male impotency is an issue which is very common these days among men of all ages. In this health issue which is responsible for causing a havoc in the sexual life of men around the world, men are either unable to get an erection or unable to maintain it for long enough to enjoy the pleasures of sexual intercourse. It is suggested that men above the age of 40 usually suffer for ED issues, although, younger men below the age of 40 also suffer from this issue. Though the major cause of ED is still unknown, researchers have an opinion that the poor blood flow to the penis is somewhat one of the major reasons for ED in men. Most of the research has also been directed towards improving the blood flow to the penis. One more thing which is of significance is that most cases of depression in men around the world is linked to men having issues of erectile dysfunction. Men suffering from ED are often seen to be having a lot of issues such as low self-confidence and low self-esteem.

Among the many drugs which are available for treating ED in men, Suhagra, one of the generic versions of Viagra has proved to be an effective choice of men around the world to take control over their sexual life. Suhagra is a cheap version of the drug and hence the popularity of this medicine is not surprising. Suhagra contains Sildenafil Citrate which is the active pharmaceutical ingredient in the medicine. It is an FDA approved drug which has been established for its safety and effectiveness over the years.

The way this medicine works is that when consumed, the active ingredient of the medicine dissolves in the bloodstream. When this occurs, the action of the enzyme Phosphodiesterase-5 gets inhibited. This PDE5 enzyme is the one which is responsible for the poor flow of blood to the penis. When the action of this PDE5 enzyme is blocked, the levels of Nitric Oxide in the body increases. Due to this the production of the enzyme cGMP in the body also increases. This leads to the arteries carrying blood to the penis to dilate and the muscles to relax. When this occurs, the blood flow to the penis increases which leads to more blood to fill in the penis. This collectively leads to erection of the penis which lasts for a long time, long enough to satisfy both, men and their partners during sexual intercourse.

Suhagra is available and sold mostly in the recommended dose of 100mg tablets, which is to be taken once a day. This tablet is best to be taken along with water. The best time to consume this medicine is about an hour before sexual intercourse for maximum effect. Also, maintaining a gap of 24-Hours between two doses is mandatory.

The best person though to give advice regarding the dose, the dose regime and the information about the medicine is your doctor. Also, it is important that only men who are suffering from ED issues should consume this medication – Suhagra. Taking Suhagra on a regular or daily basis is not encouraged as it could lead to addiction to Suhagra which may later pose risk of health complications. Even overdose or taking this medicine more than once in a day is not a good practice and should be stopped immediately. It is best to avoid alcohol, tobacco, other PDE5 inhibitors, nitrate containing medicines, alpha-blockers and grapefruit products along with Suhagra tablets.

Children, teenagers and women are strictly prohibited from using Suhagra 100 pills as it may lead to severe health problems in them. Also, men with health issues related to liver and kidneys should take advice from their doctors before starting this medicine.

Erectile Dysfunction – Causes and Treatment

Erectile Dysfunction (ED) or Male impotence is the most dreaded and hated sexual health issue that men face. ED is when a man is unable to get an erection or keep an erection for a long time. Men all over the world face this problem of impotence but it usually occurs in men over the age of 40 years. Statistics suggest that 50% of men above the age of 40 years and 25% of men below the age of 40 suffer from ED. There are many reasons for men to suffer from this condition such as smoking, alcoholism, diabetes, hypertension, etc. Everything said and done, the main reason or the main cause of ED is the poor flow of blood to the penis which renders it flaccid. The major contributor towards ED is the action of the enzyme PDE5 which supresses the cGMP in the body responsible for good blood flow.

Causes of ED

There are mainly 3 major causes of ED in men viz. physical causes such as injury, diabetes, hypertension, high levels of cholesterol, obesity, etc. and psychological causes such as stress, anxiety, depression, etc.

Treatment Options for ED

The first and foremost thing that a doctor will try is to find the underlying health issues which the patient may be suffering from, which might be leading to Impotency. Depending on the severity and cause of ED and other underlying health issues the doctor will choose the best treatment option. The various treatment options for treating male impotence are:

1. Oral Medication

Oral medications are the most successful treatment option for treatment of ED. They include

 • Sildenafil Citrate (Viagra)

 • Tadalafil (Cialis)

 • Vardenafil (Levitra)

 • Avanafil (Stendra)

All four medications work by inhibiting the action of PDE5 enzyme which in turn increases the Nitric oxide levels in the body. Increased Nitric Oxide levels in the body enhances the production of cGMP in the body which causes better or increased flow of blood to the penis due to dilation of the arteries and gives rise to a firm and rigid erection of the penis which lasts for a long time. Obviously, these medicines don’t ensure sexual stimulation. The man taking this medicine should be sexually stimulated for the drug to exhibit its action.

2. Other medications

 • Alprostadil self-injection

In this method, an injection with the medication is injected at the base of the penis. Each injection has a dose which renders the penis to be erect for at least an hour. The pain due to injecting is minor as the needles are very fine. Examples. Papaverine, Alprostadil and phentolamine.

 • Alprostadil urethral suppositories

In this method, a tiny suppository is inserted into the penis. A special applicator is also provided to install the suppository into the penis. Erection is obtained in 10 minutes which lasts between 30-40 minutes.

 • Testosterone replacement

In men who suffer from ED due to low levels of testosterone are usually recommended to undergo testosterone replacement therapy.

3. Penis pumps, implants and surgery

When medicines do not show any improvement in the condition, your doctor might suggest you to consider other options.

 • Penis pumps

A penis pump is a hollow tube with a hand powered or battery powered pump.     This tube is placed over the penis and the pump is used to suck out all the air creating a vacuum which pulls the blood to the penis ensuring erection.

 • Penis implants

In this method devices are placed on both sides of the penis surgically. These pumps are normally inflatable which leads to erection.

 • Surgery

Surgery is the last resort in case nothing is helping a person to be able to get an erection.

4. Other methods

 • Exercise

 • Psychological counselling

 • Alternative medicine
